Challenge CLAN was produced by the Movie Group as a record of the 'Challenge CLAN' renovations and charity work that took place above the CLAN shop in Victoria Street, Kirkwall. 23rd-30th Aprill 2009. The theme was taken from the TV program Challange Annaka. Karen Scott and Elspeth Linklater challenged the people of Orkney to renovate the rooms above the shop and turn them into a CLAN Haven. The haven is to be a place where people with cancer from Orkney's Northern Isles can stay as a stopping point whislt travelling south to Aberdeen for treatment. It will also be available for people travelling to visit relatives with cancer.
Like everyone else involved in the project the Movie Group offered thier services free to produce this film. The film will be shown at the Pickaquoy Centre on the 28th May 2009 and will also be used afterwards to promote the Haven for future use.
